Dorm Life
OBI has two dormitories—Jen-Hsun Huang Hall for girls and Carnahan-Daugherty Hall for boys. Houseparents in each dorm provide 24-hour supervision.
Dormitory residents have access to:
- wifi
- kitchen with microwaves
- laundry facilities
- telephone
- television
- basic supply needs
- indoor and outdoor common areas
Students may receive mail and packages at the dormitory office.
There are generally 2-3 students to a room. Students are responsible for cleaning their living space, plus one additional assigned cleaning chore in the dorm each day. There are bathrooms on each dormitory floor.
The OBI cafeteria serves three meals a day, seven days a week.
OBI's Healthcare Coordinator manages student illnesses, injuries and medication. Dorm students not well enough to attend school are put on bedrest until they recover.
An EMT is on call 24-7 for medical emergencies.
Bedtime for dormitory students is at 10:00 PM on school nights and at 11:00 PM on weekends.
