Letter from the Principal
Hello Mountaineer Family!
It is with great excitement and anticipation that I welcome you to the 2025-26 school year! Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time this year, we are excited that you will be a part of our school community.
I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to work with such amazing students, an extremely dedicated staff, and a school community with parents who share our desire to provide our students with a rigorous, engaging education where they are “challenged to grow mentally, physically, socially, and spiritually in order to acquire an Education for Time and Eternity.” The words in quotes are from our school mission statement, and I assure you we will embrace that mission every single day.
As your child’s principal, I want you to know that I believe all students can achieve their goals through hard work and perseverance with the support of both school and home. Our teachers are committed to setting high academic and behavioral expectations while providing a loving and caring environment that encourages a love for learning.
A strong partnership with parents/guardians is a crucial part of making sure our students are achieving their highest potential. We encourage you to visit our school, volunteer, communicate, and participate in activities that are planned for you and your child. Please embrace the opportunity to work side-by-side with us to help your child grow each day.
Communication is extremely important. We promise to keep you informed and will do this in a variety of ways including phone calls, emails, paper communication, Class Dojo, student planners, and our school website. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child’s teacher or contact me at the phone number/email listed below.
We are going to have a FANTASTIC school year! I am looking forward to meeting each of you very soon. We recognize that to be successful in school, our students need support from both home and school and by working together, your child will succeed!
Sincerely,
Tammy Mason, MA EDU and Rank I, School Counseling and Educational Leadership
