Volleyball @ KCAC Tournament

We willl then play at least one game in single elimination bracket play. Facility: We will be playing at the Mid-America Sports Complex. Please note that this is NOT the EAST complex. There are two complexes in Louisville, please be diligent in informing your players and families. Mid-America Sports Complex 1906 Watterson Trail Louisville, KY 40299 (502)-736-0800 Locker Rooms: There will be no locker rooms available. Games: All games will be best of Two of Three. Rosters: Rosters will be taken from KHSAA online roster database. Please make sure that all players are listed with correct numbers inside the KHSAA website. HLS will be providing all forms needed for game play, (line-up sheets, Libero tracking sheets, and team rosters printed off of KHSAA Site as of Friday, 9/15/2023) Team Responsibilities: For each game, the listed home team is responsible for providing a line judge, as well as the scorebook keeper. The away team is responsible for providing a line judge and the Libero tracker. HLS will provide the scoreboard operator. Warm-ups: Teams will have the normal 15-minute warm-up before each game unless both team’s coaches agree to a shortened warm-up. Warm-Up balls: Teams will need to provide their own Warm-up balls. Game Balls: The HOME team will provide the game ball for each game. Any NFHS certified ball is acceptable. Admission: Doors will open 60 minutes prior to the first game. $10 for all ages 11 and up, 10 and under are free. All tickets will be sold and redeemed through GoFan platform, or a cash option. We will accept KHSAA coaches passes Concessions: Concessions stand will open 30 minutes prior to the first game. Water: We will have water coolers at the scorer’s table for each court. We ask that players bring their own sealable water bottle. Please refrain from using cups with straws due to the risk of spilling. Athletic Training: UofL Sports Medicine will provide Athletic Training coverage during the KCAC Volleyball Tournament. Awards: Awards will be given out following the championship game. We will be awarding a Championship and Runner-Up award, as well as a medal to All-Tournament Team. Tournament Champion will have three, runner-up will have 2, each other team will have 1. Seating: There is limited seating at the courts, fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs. FORMAT: We will be utilizing a pool play style tournament, guaranteeing teams three games, with the possibility of a fourth. Teams will be placed into one of three pool based upon the seeding, which will be done by the KHSAA RPI. After pool play, we will enter three brackets. The winner of each of the four (4) pools will be in the Gold Bracket, which will crown the KCAC Tournament Champion. The 2nd place team in each pool will be in the Silver Bracket, with the 3rd&4th placed team being placed in the Bronze Pool. The tournament information packet is attached.
