Members of our chapter traveled to Glasgow, Ky. to CPC Commodities on October 16th. CPC is known for its quality in complete feeds and their back-grounding operation.
CPC's main feed mill was designed in three different levels. Our students are wondering if they should walk across the bridge that overlooks the two lower levels. Beneath them are bays of soybean hulls and corn.
While clipping the billy's hooves, he fell asleep!!!! Sendra, Christle and Lachan continue clipping....while the billy goat continues to count sheep!!!
After bedding down the goat huts, the girls take a dive into the sawdust!! Neige, one of our Great Pryennes dogs decides to join them.
On November 3rd, the OBI FFA Chapter and Farm Crew traveled to Louisville, to the North American Internationl Livestock Expo. The students viewed Goat, Llama, Alpaca, Jersey, Holstein and the Quarter Horse Shows.
McKenzie brings her first group of kids into one of the Farrowing rooms to show them the baby pigs that were just born!
Wesley is in charge of the mechanics area of the tour. The kids had a great time climbing into the combine and sitting behind the wheel.
